Blogging...

okay okay okay ya'll...amidst hanging with the fellas a little birdie who seems to swapmeet a bit reminded me that I have not updated my blog

so lo and behold...here I am...writing, venting, blogging, blabbing.... - and what about?? hmmmmm.....let me see...well nothing really. I've got really nothing to say but say happy holidays to all. AND even though it is after Christmas - I say Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to all - and even though we are a politically correct en-drenched nation - I still say it - simply for tradition sake. And to those whom may find it offensive...well then Happy Kwanzaa, Hannakuh, Winter Solstice (which is the true holiday) and happy Dies Natalis Solis Invicti and of course my favorite - Happy Festivus...

I can go on and on about why Christmas really has nothing to do with the actual birth of Christ and how all Christmas decorations such as: trees and mistletoes and whatnot were taken from non-Christian pagan traditions that pre-date the birth of Jesus....and so on and so on and so on..hehe - sorry to sound like a sourpuss but it's the truth. click here to read up on some of the origins

I guess in some sense I take what Thomas Gray once said into consideration..."ignorance is bliss"...and I guess there is some truth to it..yes?

anyhow - in light of real truth of it all I can "traditionally" still celebrate the "holidays" or Christmas, even though I also think it's way over-rated.

but you know - I can also still find humor in it and thanks to the great, Frank Costanza, founder of Festivus I leave you with this video....

see what you did swapmeetera!!!!

As one who celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah, I say amen to Festivus!
